Bulk video upload

Bulk video upload

Video and subtitle files can be uploaded in bulk, directly from your computer. For this, you will need to download specialized file transfer software. This software needs to be installed and configured with the secret credentials that the platform owner can obtain in the CMS (for platform owners see help article: MediaService).
The type of credentials made available to you will decide which storage you need to use. See for more details in the sections below.

☞ N.B. When uploading files to your designated upload older, please upload all files in that folder or the pre-existing sub-folders (which indicate the encoding profile you would like applied, e.g. HD, 4K, etc). Do NOT create new sub-folders or upload entire folders with videos. Such files will not be processed.

☞ For more information about the supported video formats and/or subtitle files, please see the help article: File upload specifications.

1. Jet-Stream Cloud Storage

In case, you received credentials for uploading that are labeled with "JS:" (for example "JS: FTP username"). We advise you to use software tools that support file transfer to this provider, as its protocol is the widely used FTP-protocol. Examples:
  1. FileZilla
  2. WinSCP (Windows only)
  3. CyberDuck (Mac only)
Choose your preferred tool, and follow the steps to download the tool. Then configure the obtained credentials as instructed by the software manufacturer.
☞ N.B. You specifically need to configure your connection profile with "Plain FTP" over port 21 (i.e no TLS or SSL).

2. Amazon S3 Cloud Storage

In case, you received credentials for uploading that are labeled with "AWS:" (for example "AWS: Bucket Name"). We advise you to use software tools that support file transfer to Amazon S3 Cloud Storage, for example:
  1. FileZilla
  2. S3 Browser (Windows only)
  3. CyberDuck (Mac only)
Choose your preferred tool, and follow the steps to download the tool. Then configure the obtained credentials as instructed by the software manufacturer.

For platform owners, uploading video files can also be done in the CMS (see help article: Assets).
